Tricks Training & Cookout

AARF hosted a dog party, complete with hot dogs, yummy food and a Tricks Training class at Tom and Catherine Holmes' house. A great time was had by both human and canine club members. Club member Sue Kocher taught a short class on training dog tricks to begin the event and we invited several guests to bring their dogs to the training and cookout. All throughout the event about fourteen dogs played, ran, chased frisbees and socialized. At the end of the day AARF had four new members!

2009 Lance Memorial Canines For The Cure Fundraiser

Despite the dismal weather and a tough economy, the 2009 event raised over $14,000 for the National Canine Cancer Foundation! Many thanks to NADAC, Ron Young, Sarah Fix, Valerie Olszyk of Pet Behavior Help, and Gourmutt's Bakery for their support.

Weaver at AKC Invitational

Weaver, was a stray when Amanda found him in the spring of 2001. Now, he is the No. 1-ranked male American foxhound in the nation, and the No 1 male in the U.S. Dog Agility Association’s ratings! In December 2007, Amanda and Weaver were invited to the AKC invitational, where they finished in 5th place!

Abby's NATCH Day

Abby and I started in Agility in 2002. She’s been a wonderful teammate! She won her NADAC Championship in September 2007.

Two years later... in September 2009, Abby won her USDAA ADCH!

Clover’s Run

"Clover's Run" explores the world of dog agility competition in central North Carolina with a young Belgian Tervuren dog, Clover, and her owner/handler, Charles. Join these two as they share challenges when they begin to participate in this sport, where Clover must accurately run through timed obstacle courses under Charles' guidance and direction. Agility provides exercise and fun for this pair and helps to strengthen the bond between them.
